The Ultimate Tailwheel Trainer

The Citabria (which is "Airbatic" spelled backward) is our primary trainer for the Tailwheel Endorsement.

• Why we fly it: Its tandem seating provides excellent visibility and puts you on the centerline, making it the ideal platform to learn the "water dance" of rudder control.

• Training Focus: Normal and crosswind takeoffs/landings, wheel landings, and fundamental stick-and-rudder coordination.

• Specs: 150 HP, Lycoming O-320, Fixed-pitch prop.

American Champion Super Decathlon (8KCAB)

High-Performance & Aerobatic Excellence

The Super Decathlon is our powerhouse for Spin Endorsements and advanced upset recovery.

• Why we fly it: Unlike the Citabria 7ECA, the Super Decathlon features a semi-symmetrical airfoil and a constant-speed propeller, allowing for inverted flight and crisp, predictable spin entries and recoveries.

• Training Focus: CFI Spin Endorsements (14 CFR 61.183), stall/spin awareness, and introductory aerobatics.

• Specs: Fuel Injected 180 HP, Inverted fuel and oil systems, allowing up to 2 min of inverted flight.  Constant-speed prop.
